Following distance refers to the space between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you when driving. The minimum following distance in a class 3 vehicle, also known as a large truck or bus, is 4 seconds. This allows enough time to react and brake safely in case of unexpected events. Options A (2 seconds) and B (3 seconds) may not provide enough time to react and increase the risk of rear-end collisions. Option D (5 seconds) is too much of a distance, which can impede traffic flow and create a safety hazard.
